Caló des Moro: turquoise water at the end of a narrow inlet between walls of rock and pine (Santanyí, Mallorca)

Beaches

Caló des Moro

Caló des Moro is a tiny cove on the coast of Santanyí: a narrow inlet between walls of rock and pine, with a tongue of sand at the end and turquoise water over it.

The outline recorded in OpenStreetMap measures less than fifty metres from end to end. It is sandy, but OpenStreetMap's own description warns that it is stony and not suitable for lying down or putting up a sunshade. Smoking, picnics and camping are not allowed either, and it is not wheelchair accessible. It is a cove for looking at and swimming in, not for spending the day.

It is four and a half kilometres from the town of Santanyí, less than two from Cala Llombards and two and a half from Es Pontàs, on the same stretch of cliff and pine coast.
