Cala d'Hort

Cala d'Hort is the Ibiza beach with es Vedrà right in front of it. It lies on the south-west coast of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, at the foot of a slope of pale rock, and from the sand the islet fills the horizon.

The outline recorded in OpenStreetMap measures two hundred and fifty metres from end to end: sand at the shoreline, rock at either end and very clear water. What sets it apart is not on the beach but opposite it: es Vedrà, three and a half kilometres away as the crow flies, with the lower islet beside it.

It is seven kilometres from the village of Sant Josep and eight from Cala Comte, the other well-known face of this western coast. What you get by having it nearby is that view, which is the postcard view of Ibiza.
