Magaluf

Magaluf is the great beach-tourism hub of Calvià and one of the best known areas in Mallorca. Traditionally associated with sun and nightlife tourism, for some years now it has been going through a transformation towards a higher-quality offering, with new hotels and refurbished spaces.

Magaluf is arranged around its broad sandy beach and a very lively seafront, with a dense offering of leisure, restaurants and nightlife. It is the busiest area in the municipality in season, although its renovation in recent years has been raising the profile of part of what it offers. It is practically joined to Palmanova and very close to quieter areas such as Sol de Mallorca and Cala Vinyes.

Flats and penthouses near the beach predominate, strongly oriented towards holidays and investment, alongside some more restful residential areas nearby. Prices are generally more affordable than in the luxury enclaves of the south-west, and new build and refurbishment carry weight within its urban transformation.

It suits buyers oriented towards investment and holiday letting, and those looking for beach and a lively atmosphere at a good price. Worth weighing up: the strong seasonality and footfall of the area and its markedly touristic character, although the transformation under way is changing part of that image.
