Benirràs
Benirràs is a cove in the north of Ibiza, in Sant Joan de Labritja; on maps it also appears as Port de Benirràs. An inlet of green and turquoise water between slopes of pine and rock, with boats at anchor in front.
The outline recorded in OpenStreetMap measures a hundred and eighty metres from end to end, at the head of a wide inlet. The slopes that enclose it are pine and rock right down to the water, and that —the whole inlet, more than the sand— is what you remember about it.
It is five and a half kilometres from the village of Sant Joan and less than four from Cala Xarraca, on the same northern coast. It is the best-known cove of a municipality that holds the northernmost coast of the island.
