Caló des Mort: white sand at the foot of the golden rock, the boat huts and turquoise water over flat rock (Formentera)

Beaches

Caló des Mort

Caló des Mort is a tiny cove on the south coast of Formentera: a tongue of white sand at the foot of a wall of golden rock, with turquoise water over the flat rock and the wooden boat huts by the shore. It should not be confused with other coves with similar names in Mallorca and Menorca.

The outline recorded in OpenStreetMap measures less than thirty metres from end to end. It is a cove for swimming among the rocks, not a long beach.

It is about nine kilometres from the centre of Sant Francesc and as many from Es Pujols, at the other end of the island.
